It has been a long wait this time. But, finally it looks like a little reversal in our favour is happening right now.
Note that whether the equity on the left column is up or down this 9.1k account is now earning at the level of $17,503. At 9.5% margin that is about $1662 times 400 (400 to 1 leverage) or $665,114 USD that we are controlling and getting DAILY interest on.
PLUS, there is the buy low and sell high profit taking that goes on while the market is swinging up and down.
This may not be a bad time to go live. That is is not advice. Just a thought!

The data below is approximate fluctuation data recorded at different times of day. It is not 100% accurate as the equity in some cases may have swung higher or lower before or after I recorded the position. But, it is pretty close to what you might see on a live account.

From Jan 10th, 2006 to Aug 1st, 2007 the account data is based on a $9500 account at 9% margin and 400:1 leveraging.
On Aug 1st, 2007 I compounded this account at 16,000 USD and 9.5% margin and 400:1 leverage. I am trading 3 pairs here: EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDCHF.
Before compounding this account would have had to drop to around $937 to get a margin call. After compounding to 16,000 USD at 9.5% the account would now have to drop to about $1575 to $1600 to get a margin call most of the time.
Note that even when the account is down in equity it is still earning interest daily on the original allocation which is presently 9.5% of 16,000 USD at 400:1 leverage.
So, this means I am earning DAILY interest on 608,000 USD and earning buy low sell high profits on 608,000 USD dollars worth of lots. This is the case even when equity rises or drops. If it rises I have the option to compound.
